What do you think about ALL of us just making a mass exodus out of Xanga into Blogger? I know we've been here on Xanga for years now...but we're all just kind of hanging on for perhaps those 5 or so friends who still use it too, right? That's my ONLY reason for hanging on as long as I have. I don't want to loose contact with any of you, and for some of you, Xanga is currently the only way we keep in touch.
So what if we ALL just moved over together? Here are some of my reasonings:
- Xanga is OLD and outdated.
- Blogger is classier, and much more wide-spread.
- Most of our Teen Mania friends have already moved over to Blogger.
- Some of you already have your feet in both worlds!
- If we all go together, then that takes care of the one and only reason we're stuck in Xanga!!
Anyone game? If so - PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT!! I will gladly organize the exodus so no one gets forgotten...

I'm afraid I'm going to stick to xanga call me sentimental or whatever but I just don't know if I can change to something new...
Although probably a great idea, I have been with Xanga since October of 2002. Not to mention that I have "xanga for life" - which cost my Hubby $100 to get me.
Plus, as cool as blogger is, xanga is still pretty cool. I have always loved that it was one of the few websites that allowed me to change how it looks without someone else's html code. I can easily and nicely use my own pics and color schemes.
I dont have a Blogger, but all my posts are fed directly into my Facebook....so anyone who leaves Xanga can read them there. :)
Good luck with your decision! :)
i just left. :) i'm still going to back up all my posts as i have more than 4 years worth of family journals on here, but i wanted a lot of the features that xanga doesn't offer.
join me! the water's fine. :)
I've been thinking about doing the same. I've had an account since 2006 and it has all of 2 entries...but i'm ready. Xanga is a little bitter sweet now. Used to be my "front porch" as Shanygne so perfectly put it. Now it feels more like a ghost town!
I'm intrigued. Xanga has been good to me, but I'm not too particularly attached.
i've been toying around with the idea. my husband already has an account with blogger. it seems much more user friendly.
i'm game!! i like blogger way better too...
Maybe I'm weird, or dumb, but I can't get into blogger! It's so confusing to me! I love how Xanga tells me when my friends have new posts, plus I have the "feed into facebook" thing, too, so I feel like that's good enough for me. I've had a blogger account for a couple years now and never use it because it's so anti-user-friendly (IMO). :o/
I'm in... we're talking blogger, right? It would be nice to have everyone in the same place, but I will break down and just tag everyone in my links if I have to go to other places. Xanga IS so much more user-friendly, but I will use that old blogger account I haven't updated in over a year....
Wah! I don't want to learn something new! I am still figuring out Facebook!
I'm on Blogger now too!
