Thanks for the well wishes & prayers....I'm feeling much better. That spell was NASTY and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
So I'm thinking we have about 6" of snow on the ground - it's absolutely beautiful! We haven't seen snow like this since before we moved to Texas 8 years ago. I know all of you northerners reading this might be thinking - you sissy, 6" is nothing! I know, I know - my family lives in upstate NY - 6" to them is a "light dusting."

I'm still excited and giddy like a little girl though. Hopefully sometime today I'll be able to break free from work and go sledding w/ the kids.
In other news, the big family topic as of late is trying to figure out what to do with Granny now that Pa-Paw is gone. She is lost without him - he has been her life-long companion for 60-ish years. I was thinking about that as they closed the casket for the last time. Imagine after living with your best friend for 60 years and watching them close the casket. That is the last time you will ever see the face of that person for rest of your lifetime. What a sobering moment. My heart broke for Granny, because even though she will see him again, she still has to face each morning knowing that Pa-Paw won't be there to greet her. She kind of walks around with an empty, hollow stare...it is heart wrenching. We're hoping to get her into an assisted living home - where she can have her own apartment and independence, but only a step away from medical attention if needed. She really shouldn't be living alone. And we're almost worried that rouge family members will come in and try to take advantage of her. (With her cars and finances). Please pray for Joel's mom and her siblings as they try to come up with a reasonable solution.
Anyways, I better get off here and get to work - lots to catch up on after our trip "down home." Wishing you a happy Monday everyone...
